The legendary Nordic theme park High Chaparral will use IMAS people counting solution to increase the customer satisfaction: “We want our guests to experience the park as much as possible and sales and visitor data is a key doing so”, says CEO Mathias Bergendahl.

Last year the Wild West theme park opened a new experience store covering some 1000 square meters. The concept was a success; the only fallback was long queuing lines with guests having to wait too long.

– No one wants to stand in a que. We want our guests to experience the wild west as much as possible while visiting us, says Mathias.

To solve the matter the store has increased the number of cash registers from 10 to 20 and will now be using sales and visitor data to make the staff scheduling more efficient.

"We believe that combining visitor and sales data is the smartest way achieving this."

– We will use the number of receipts and number of visitors to make forecasts helping us make better scheduling, Mathias explains.

Lessons from the pandemic: finding the right capacity level

For the time being there are no restrictions on the number of visitors in Sweden, however the theme park will continue to have a limit on the number of guests.

– We learned during the pandemic that our customer satisfaction increased when there where less guests in the park. Its about finding the right capacity and being able to serve your guests.
